Nene Valley Care Homes places residents’ happiness and well-being at the heart of everything we do just as we would wish for our own family members.
Our homes have been deliberately chosen to provide a warm, homely setting small enough to offer personal, tailored care, yet practical enough to accommodate the facilities our residents need.
Our staff take pride in building trusting, compassionate relationships with our residents, taking the time to understand and meet their every need as well as forming close relationships with families and friends of our residents.

Nene Valley Care Homes is owned and managed by a mother-and-daughter team – my mother, Touran, and me, Yasamine Watts. We are a family business rather than a corporate residential care home provider. It is my mother, with over 40 years of experience working in the care sector, who should be credited for starting our venture.
Bringing a wealth of experience from working in general and psychiatric hospitals in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, to running two 60-bedded care homes, she has dedicated her life to caring for those no longer able to care for themselves, with a particular interest in dementia. Determined to offer a home-from-home environment, Touran opened her first residential care home, 9-bedded Garden Lodge in Glinton, in 1999.
Ten years ago, after a brief career in the City, I joined the team to help develop and expand, first with Florence House in Peterborough and most recently, The Laurels in Market Deeping. It was only a matter of time before I followed in my mother’s legacy, having been exposed to her values growing up.
Together, with our empathetic and professionally capable staff, we provide a compassionate environment in which our elderly and dementia residents thrive: happy, fulfilled, and comfortable.
